Client Shout Out: Infant Crisis Services

At Cory’s Audio Visual, our approach is a little different than the average vendor. We are solution-based and client goal-oriented. We believe that our strength lies in our clients’ success and our relationships with those in our community.

This month, we are highlighting one of our very special nonprofit friends, Infant Crisis Services. Their mission is to provide life-sustaining support to infants and toddlers in Oklahoma, a mission we believe is vital to our community.

Courtney Thomas is their Community Relations Coordinator. We sat down with her to ask her a few questions about events and their work with Cory’s Audio Visual.

Q: Why does your organization choose Cory’s Audio Visual? 

A: Infant Crisis Services uses Cory’s Audio Visual because they have the capacity to provide for any and every audio visual need we might have. Their staff also makes the process stress free and so enjoyable.

Q: How did we help make your event successful? 

A: Our largest event (Boots and Ballgowns) has more than 1,000 guests in attendance at The Criterion and guest check-in always poses a challenge. We wanted to try something new this year and list guests names with their table assignment on a projector screen. We were able to come to Cory’s Audio Visual and tell them the concept we dreamed up and they made it a reality. Needless to say, check-in went off without a hitch this year!

Q: What advice do you have for those looking to plan their next event? 

A: Make your life easier and choose vendors who have experience and love what they do. It makes all the difference when you have positive, knowledgeable people working with you that are motivated to help you make your event a success.

Courtney Thomas is the Community Relations Coordinator at Infant Crisis Services, a 32-year-old Oklahoma City nonprofit. Courtney joined the staff at Infant Crisis Services 3 years ago as the Development Assistant and was quickly promoted to Community Relations Coordinator. Thomas manages all fundraising events and has developed and successfully implemented new donation drives for Infant Crisis Services. She has helped the agency continue to grow and function as a vital social services agency with an annual budget of more than $3 million.
